Dorot has been drawing since she was three years old. But some people don’t follow straight paths - the twists and turns make the journey far more interesting.
She graduated from the University of Warsaw with a master’s degree in German and English, and began career as a translator. It didn’t take long to realize she missed the language of images, so she followed that instinct and studied Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts
in Warsaw. She went on to build a successful career in design, creating a wide range of innovative products.
During the pandemic, she started drawing every day just for the joy of it - and it changed everything. What began as a simple daily ritual soon grew into something more. Since 2025, Dorot has been illustrating children’s books and designing book covers.
She finds endless inspiration in her daughters, forest life, travels, and folktales. She often draws while listening to a captivating novel.
Dorot loves working with mixed media: collage, gouache, oil pastels, and crayons, before adding the final touches digitally.
